Bicycle and Pedestrian Data: Sources, Needs,
& Gaps
This report provides a review of existing sources of bicycle and
pedestrian-related information, including their uses, quality,
and
limitations. It also includes information from a broad range
of
decision-makers, researchers, planners, and other users identifying
and
prioritizing areas in which additional or improved data are needed.
By
recommending opportunities for improving the quality and relevancy
of
bicycle and pedestrian data, this report will help determine what
actions to take to overcome the deficiencies and limitations of
existing data sources.

1997 Commodity Flow Survey (CFS):
This is the most detailed national survey covering freight shipments
by
all modes of transportation in the United States. BTS has CFS

National Transportation Atlas Databases 2000
(NTAD-2000)
NTAD-2000 is a set of national geographic data sets of transportation
facilities. These data sets include geospatial information for
transportation modal networks and intermodal terminals, and related
attribute information. Available in UNIX and DOS.

G-7 Countries: Transportation Highlights:
A summary statistical report on transportation that covers the
Group of
Seven (G-7) countries-Canada, France, Germany, Great Britain,
Italy,
Japan, and the United States. The report covers the extent and
use of
the seven countries' transportation networks and selected statistics
on
trade and transportation, safety, and energy and the environment.

North American Transportation Highlights:
A summary statistical report on transportation that helps provide
a
continental perspective of transportation in the U.S., Canada,
and
Mexico. The report was jointly developed with the Census Bureau
and the
transportation and statistical agencies in Canada and Mexico.
The
report is divided into four sections: 1) the extent and use of
the
transportation networks in the three countries; 2) North American
trade
and travel; 3) transportation safety and 4) transportation and
energy
use.

Government Transportation Financial Statistics
Fiscal Years 1985-1995:
Presents tables that identify trends in transportation revenues
and
expenditures for federal, state, and local governments for fiscal
years
1985 through 1995. Also included are federal data for fiscal year
1996.
This report updates information provided in Federal, State, and
Local
Transportation Financial Statistics: Fiscal Years 1982-1994 and
Transportation Receipts and Outlays in the Federal Budget: Fiscal
Years
1977-1994.
